Farbsafari – Streetart between Dresden and Wroclaw
The Second Attempt e.V. presents a travelling exhibition which contains
Streetart on canvas, as well as photography’s, videos and workshops.
Furthermore does Second Attempt e.V. give visitors the opportunity to enjoy
a wide range of Streetart. The travelling exhibition “Farbsafari – Streetart
between Dresden and Wroclaw” takes place from February until May 2010. You
can enjoy a fine selection of collages made on canvas, photography’s but
also mural paintings of illustration and abstraction, which reflects the
current challenges in everybody’s daily routine.
Don’t miss the chance to see this major exhibition, which presents works of
Sainer (Lodz/Poland), 1010, Zonenkinder, Koolski (Hamburg), Jens Besser
(Dresden), Syru (Leipzig) and Sushi.TV (Weißwasser). Their exhibits and
further photography’s of fokus 2009 can finally be enjoyed at Farbsafari.
The background: in advance of focus 2009, Artists of five different
countries met up at the workshop “urban script Europe” and created an
oversized mural painting at the Görlitzer Schlachthof. This area has already
become a symbol for Streetart; artists can life up their style in the hope
that the visitor does find the message beyond. Now Farbsafari looks back at
fokus 2009, the festival doe youth culture, and the results of the workshop
“urban script Europe”, which brought together young people from Germany and
Poland.
Focus 2009 is a project, which is been developing through the Kulturstiftung
Sachsen and the foundation of German and Polish collaboration as well as the
Autohaus Lust and the graphic design studios Zittau. “urban script Europe”
is been financed by the EU-Program “Jugend in Aktion” as well as the
initiative “dieGesellschafter.de” of Aktion Mensch.
The first stop-over of the travelling exhibition Farbsafari starts 5th
February at the Kronenkino in Zittau and will be continued in Bautzen,
Görlitz and Bad Muskau and finishes in Wroclaw. The streetart artists Jens
Besser and Sushi.TV will be opening the vernissage and will be holding a
live-performance on canvas. The vernissage will be accompanied by a fine
selection of life-music and videos. Finally the vernissage gives the chance
to see beyond focus2009 and to get in contact with organisers and artists.
Side programme containing movies, presentations and workshops
Each stop-over of the travelling exhibition at the cities named above will
be presenting filmlets and documentations about Streetart and a speech about
Streetart held by the Dresdner-artist Jens Besser. Above that visitors will
have the chance to experience Streetart – therefore a Workshop called
“Stencil and Sticker” will be held by Jens Besser and is part of the
exhibition. Pre-assemble stencils are the most used method in Streetart
creating photo-realistic images of human beings, nature and technique. This
workshop gives an impression of basic methods and further developments of
different methods. Feel free to create some stencils of any self-portrait
which finally can be sprayed on homemade stickers.
